If you can knit, and you can purl, you can make this easy kimono from Plymouth Yarn. You will make 5 rectangles – one back, two fronts and two sleeves and then join them to create your finished product. Make it in one color or add a second color for the wide borders. See some examples
We will begin this project on Wednesday, March 22 and work for 5 consecutive weeks, ending on April 19. We meet from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Skills you will use/learn:
- Knit
- Purl
- Picking up stitches
- Seaming
Materials you will need:
- Worsted weight yarn – 6 – 11 100g balls depending on the size you make
- Pattern: $4 in shop
- US 7 and 8 needles. – Size 7 should be 32″ circular for the neckband
- Stitch markers
- Darning needle
Remember, participation in our knit and crochet alongs is free when you purchase your materials at Yarn & Thread Expressions. Otherwise, the cost is $15 per session. Please plan to work only on the current or past KAL/CAL project.
