This cold an rainy weather makes it a perfect time to tackle a new, cozy and beautiful cowl! This lovely pattern, called Brain Frieze (yes, that’s spelled correctly) is created using one solid yarn in a light color and a self-striping or handspun yarn with sufficient contrast to be able to clearly see the stitch pattern. You can make it as a single loop (approximately 28″) or a double loop (approximately 56″).
The pattern is available on Ravelry for about $3.20, designed by Susan Ashcroft, Stitchnerd Designs. You can purchase it yourself or at Yarn & Thread Expressions.
The Brain Freize KAL will begin on February 1st, and goes through February 16th, Wednesdays, from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm. While the pattern calls for double knitting (DK) weight yarn, you can adapt it to use worsted weight or sport weight yarn as well.
