Fingerless gloves are a great way to keep your hands nice and warm while still being able to use your phone, tablet or computer – or even to knit or crochet! For this quick knit-along we have three patterns to choose from. Each pattern has a little bit of a different look and employs different techniques and skill levels. Whether this is your first time knitting gloves or you are an old hand at it (see what I did there?), you will end up with a great pair of gloves to wow your friends and keep your hands toasty.
Gauge – 21 sts/30 rows = 4 inches
Materials
- Each pattern uses 1-2 50g skeins of DK weight yarn and is knit in the round. We are recommending Dona or Claggdah for this project.
- You will need needles in sizes US 6 for each of the pattern and also a US 5 for the first option (or sizes to obtain gauge). Bring what you need for your preferred method of knitting small circumferences in the round.
- We would be happy to help you learn to use magic loop or 2 circulars to knit in the round.
- Split ring stitch markers
- Darning needle
Skills you will use/learn
- Knitting small circumference in the round
- Reverse shaping for each hand
- Creating the thumb gusset
